Official Info on Poison Dmg

Could Marlon please explain a few issues with poison dmg.

Are there 2 types of poison dmg (Melee & Magical?)

How is the poison dmg calculated? For melee damage it appears to be a hidden stat which adds a poison effect which counts skills such a pestilence, venom hand, + poison dmg. What about artifact % boost and dagger boost?

How does Venom breath calculate? The stats sheet does not change under any circumstance besides increase the level of venom breath. Is power, or any items effecting this skill. If so shouldn't this be shown on the char sheet for venom breath's dmg.

no, only one...magical...

pestilence: (grounddmg + envenomed hand + +poisondmg) * ax power * x% poisondmg

venombreath: grounddmg * ax power * x% poisondmg

dont know the excact calculation...but the factors that have an influence at the poisondmg are in there...

power yes....an artifact-kombi i dont know for venombreath...for pestilence: crudegrinder + curiousleaf = 10pct dmgboni...

the char sheet doesnt show the real dmg per second...maybe its bugged...

The character screen output is bugged, yes.
The whole poison system was already changed and will be active with new version.

Fire & Ice have both a melee and magical type. It may be similar for Poison.

+4 Dmg on a Sword for instance gives (+4 melee fire dmg)
Note: This does NOT increase magical dmg fire spells

+10% Fire on an artifact gives a 10% boost to your base fire dmg (fire based magical spells)

+2 Poison dmg on a artifact, weapon or gloves, appears to give a melee poison effect. I would assume this works similar to the fire example. Only full poison pts gives a boost. % increase has no melee effect.

The text description could be more clear as to what it's actually doing. It becomes very unclear with something like a dagger. The dagger can give +40% poison increase as well as +6 poison dmg.

Should all % based boost be labeled as "+40% magical poison dmg increase"
And static numbers labeled "+5 melee poison dmg increase"?

there is only one type of poison dmg -.-
the magical poison dmg...only the "transmission mode" is different.

what you mean is that +poisondmg only works with melee (pestilence or autoattack)?? thats right...

so the basedmg of pestilence is skill-basedmg + +poisondmg.
with venom +poisondmg doesnt works...

i think its the same like firedmg...
if you use blazingstrike (melee) the +firedmg is added...
if you use fireball (range) not...


+% poisondmg increases the base-dmg. i think also from pestilence..
i had it 32 lvl long...but it isnt important now...
in some days there is a complete new system...
