Follower balancing

Do you think a certain skill is too strong/weak, a monster should be more balanced or a specific items should drop more often?

How much damage does he do (before relog/after relog)?

At one occation he hit 7 before relog, and 6 after. I haven't monitored his damage, but I can make a test of that as well.

I am now doing some careful tests, and something seems to happen when he is 50% of the way to the next level. His hits suddenly went up from 7 to 10 at exactly the 50% mark.

You are sure that none of his levels increased?

Well, I am not sure exactly how his skills work. Perhaps you could clarify that?

His Fire Mastery skill seems to have been activated at some point, because the small xp bar at the bottom of the icon has begun to move, so that could account for a rise in damage. However, he is only level 10, and the skill requires level 11 to unlock (it displays "level 11 required" in red at the bottom even now). Is that his level 11 or my level 11, and does the skill affect his or my fire damage?

It could be that I reached level 11 when he was halfway to level 10, I am not sure about that.

I could do a test tomorrow with a new character, and monitor exactly what happens at each new level with both hits and damage, before and after relog, using the same equipment, and ruling out my own level. I will see if I can do it all on only one specific monster.

Follower skills works the same way character skills does:
By using them, the levels of the skills increase.
Passive Skill level depend on the level of the character.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, but is it the follower or me who get the effect of the skills?

I took the following screenshot, which I have a hard time understanding:

Image

Does this look right? The skill has been activated (the small xp bar can be seen through the transparent skill window), but the requirement has not been met yet. I am above level 11, which could have triggered it, but my follower is not, and it is his skill.

The thing I don't get is this: If it was my level which unlocked it, then why is it still red, and why is it the follower who gets the effect of the skill (if that is what he did halfway to level 10), when he doesn't have the level for it?

You are right, it is a little bit misunderstanding.
Because firemastery is one of the 2 prelearned skills, your follower can use it.

My experience was that i leveld a follower in one session from level 7 to 14, He had slight about 100 hp and did 28dmg with a bow arrow. After relog both values seems to be half the values from before, he now did 14 dmg and had only slight about 50 hp,
